ADULT CLASSES

Halifax Dance welcomes adults of all skill levels to experience dance in a fun, accessible environment. Dancing can be a great way to stay active, make friends and learn something new or continue a passion from the past. Ballet 4/5

5:30–7:00 pm • Ivana / Meredith

Classical ballet emphasizing strength, alignment, and refined technique.
Intermediate to advanced level requiring strong technical foundation and consistency.

Ballet Barre 3/4

7:00–8:00 pm • Ivana / Meredith

Barre-based conditioning class focused on strength, control, and alignment.
Level 3–4 designed for dancers with prior ballet experience seeking progression.

Stretch & Cool Down

8:00–8:30 pm • Ivana / Meredith

Guided mobility and flexibility training to support recovery and injury prevention.
Open-level class suitable for all dancers.
Wednesday

Ballet Level 0

6:00–7:00 pm • Jen

Introductory ballet class covering basic positions, alignment, and movement vocabulary.
Absolute beginner level designed for dancers new to ballet.

Ballet 3/4

7:00–8:30 pm • Jen

Classical ballet training with focus on technique, musicality, and combinations.
Level 3–4 for dancers with 2–3 years of consistent training.

Beginner Pointe

8:30–9:00 pm • Jen

Introductory pointe training emphasizing strength, alignment, and safe progression.
Beginner pointe level requiring teacher approval or foundational ballet strength.

Tap Technique

6:00–7:00 pm • Mackenzie

Technical tap class focusing on clarity, rhythm, and foundational steps.
Open-level class for beginner to intermediate dancers.

Tap Improvisation & Music Studies

7:00–8:00 pm • Mackenzie

Improvisational tap class exploring rhythm, musicality, and creative expression.
Open-level class encouraging exploration regardless of experience.
Thursday

Ballet 1/2

5:30–7:00 pm • Charley

Foundational ballet training covering basic technique, posture, and vocabulary.
Level 1–2 designed for beginners or returning dancers.

Open Barre

7:00–8:00 pm • Charley

Full-body barre workout focusing on strength, alignment, and control.
Open-level class adaptable for all experience levels.

Hip-Hop

8:00–9:00 pm • Grace

Hip-hop choreography class emphasizing groove, style, and musicality.
Open-level class with beginner-friendly progressions.
June 25 – July 16 (4 weeks only)

Jazz

8:00–9:00 pm • Tyler

Jazz technique class focusing on style, energy, and performance quality.
Level 2–5 depending on choreography complexity.
July 23 – August 27 (6 weeks only)
